Mobile app suggests alternate local businesses to callers in case of no answer and identifies unknown callers

Vienna, Ljubljana 5 March 2012 – PIRS and adaffix announce the launch of the award winning mobile application adaffix (www.adaffix.com) in Slovenia today. The application instantly suggests local alternatives if the user cannot reach a business on the phone. To deliver this information adaffix accesses the most comprehensive Slovenian business directory of PIRS (www.pirs.si).

The “AutoSuggest” feature makes it easier for a caller to get in touch with a business. For instance, a user calls the number of a plumber in Ljubljana but the company is unavailable to take the call. Within seconds adaffix shows the user other plumbers nearby. Another call is initiated by simply pushing a button. The contact details of companies can be added easily to the contacts list on the mobile phone.

The “Caller Lookup” feature identifies the number of an incoming call that is not in the user’s contacts list by matching it with the PIRS database. The name of the caller is displayed as the phone rings. When the user misses a call the name and time of the call are displayed. With one push of a button callback is easy and immediate, as is adding the caller’s name and number to the phone contacts list.

For the user’s comfort, adaffix runs in the background of the smartphone, only displaying content when appropriate. The user never has to act, only react. Additional features include call blocker, contact synchronization and Facebook ID, which displays the photo and realtime status of Facebook friends when they call. The adaffix application runs on smartphones supporting the operating systems Android and BlackBerry RIM and Nokia Symbian S60.

“Partnering with adaffix is a significant step for the fast growing smartphone market in Slovenia” says Dušan Podrekar, managing director of Pirs. “The adaffix app will certainly connect consumers with business in very effective way. ”

“We are delighted to partner with PIRS and add Slovenia to our international caller lookup network. Slovenia’s mobile penetration rate is over 100% and 28% of users already have a smartphone. The cooperation with PIRS will provide adaffix users with the most comprehensive Slovene business content.” , explains Claudia Dreier-Poepperl, founder and CEO adaffix.

Vienna, October 24th 2011. NameThatNumber, a service provided by adaffix (www.adaffix.com), won the ‘2011 Innovation Challenge’ of The Association of Directory Information and Related Search Industry (EIDQ) last week in Prague, Czech Republic. The members of the jury were highly impressed by the added benefit adaffix provides: NameThatNumber automatically adds the name and address of the caller to the ‘Missed Call Notification SMS’. NameThatNumber provides network operators with extensive top line revenue opportunities, is easy to implement and works on any phone. Carrier Orange Austria Telecommunication GmbH has been using this solution in Austria with great success since February 2011.

David Stafford, General Secretary EIDQ Association: “Delegates at the recent EIDQ Plenary Meeting in Prague identified NameThatNumber as the winner of the first EIDQ Innovation Challenge. The Challenge took place to find the most innovative new service in the directory industry. EIDQ Members clearly like the fact that adaffix partners up with directory assistance companies to offer automated caller identification. This provides directory firms with an additional revenue opportunity and more visibility in the market.”

“I am really happy about this award. It confirms our belief in the product and shows, that it brings a real benefit to everyone. While customers of mobile network operators receive an additional convenient and easy to use service, mobile carriers themselves are really pleased about an additional revenue-stream.” says Claudia Dreier-Poepperl, CEO of adaffix.

Missed call notification is a standard feature in mobile networks such as Bouygues Telecom, France Telecom, Hutchison Whampoa, KPN, Orascom, SFR, T-Mobile, Telefonica, Turkish Telecom, TeliaSonera, Telekom Austria, Telenor, Telekom Italia, Vimpelcom and Vodafone. It can be enhanced by integrating NameThatNumber between the Voice Mail System (VMS) and the Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) in a mobile network. NameThatNumber comes in a carrier grade setup and on average time to market is no longer than four weeks.

adaffix has previously received awards including the ‘2011 Mobile Messaging Awards Highly Commended’ at the Global Messaging and VAS Congress in London and the ‘GSMA Global Mobile Awards 2010’ given by the GSMA association which represents the interests of operators worldwide.

Award winning smartphone app provides caller-ID and suggests alternate local merchants to callers in case of a busy signal or no answer

Vienna – October 18, 2011. 1588 Informacija (http://www.1588.lt), the leading infoline in Lithuania, and the caller lookup company adaffix launches its services in Lithuania today. adaffix (http://www.adaffix.com) is a free mobile application available for Android, Nokia Symbian and BlackBerry smartphones. The award winning app is a helpful tool for private and business related calls: the application automatically displays the name of the private person or business if the number is not yet in the user’s contacts list. The application also suggests local alternatives if the user cannot reach a business on the phone. In order to deliver this information adaffix partners with 1588 Informacija, thereby accessing the content of one of the biggest and best business databases in Lithuania.

The adaffix application presents two main functions: AutoSuggest and Caller Lookup.
“AutoSuggest” lets callers get in touch with local business quickly and easily. If a user dials the number of a plumber in Kaunas but cannot get through, within seconds adaffix shows additional contact information as well as details for other plumbers nearby. The user can call the suggested locksmith by simply pushing a button. Additionally, the contact details of the companies suggested by adaffix can be easily added to the contacts list on the mobile phone. This immediacy and simplicity makes this feature efficient and unique.

With the help of “Caller Lookup”, incoming calls from businesses or private persons are identified if they are not in the user’s contacts list. On one hand when the phone rings, the name of the caller gets displayed, and on the other when the user misses a call, the name of the caller and the time of that call are displayed. With just one push of a button users can easily call back. Name and number can be added to the contacts list by a simple button click.

For the user’s comfort, adaffix runs in the background of the smartphone, only displaying content when appropriate. The user never has to act, only react.

Additional features include call blocker, contact synchronization and Facebook ID, which displays the photo and realtime status of Facebook friends when they call. The adaffix application runs on smartphones supporting the operating systems Android, BlackBerry RIM, Nokia Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile.

“Partnering with adaffix allows us to introduce an advanced call recommendation application for smart phones to 1588 users,” said Jon Martinsen, CEO 1588 Informacija. “The app’s ability to automatically suggest alternate businesses to callers is a unique and time-saving functionality in critical and time-sensitive situations and adds comfort to callers in Lithuania.”

“We are delighted to add Lithuania to our international adaffix network and provide the growing number of Lithuanian smartphone users with more convenience. Based on the synergies between 1588 Informacija’s high quality database and the adaffix app, smartphone users in Lithuania will get a lot more out of a phone when making or receiving calls”, explains Claudia Dreier-Poepperl, founder and CEO adaffix.

Users can download the adaffix application for smartphones from Nokia OVI, Android Market, BlackBerry Appworld and www.adaffix.com.

With the help of Caller Lookup, incoming calls from businesses are identified if the business is not in the user’s contact list. When the phone rings, the name of the caller is displayed, and if the user misses a call, the name of the caller and the time of that call are displayed. With just one push of a button users can easily call back, and the name and number can be added to the user’s contact list by another simple button click.

adaffix runs in the background of the smartphone, only displaying content when appropriate. The user never has to act, only react. Additional features include call blocker, contact synchronization, and Facebook ID, which displays the photo and real-time status of Facebook friends when they call. The application runs on smartphones supporting the operating systems Android, BlackBerry RIM, and Nokia Symbian.

“Partnering with adaffix allows us to introduce an advanced call recommendation application to Egypt Yellow Pages users,” said Marc Lambert, Managing Director of Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd. “The app’s ability to automatically suggest alternate businesses to callers is a unique and time-saving functionality in critical and time-sensitive situations and adds comfort to callers in Egypt.”

Based on the synergies between Egypt Yellow Pages high quality content and the adaffix application, smartphone users in Egypt will get a lot more out of a phone when making or receiving calls.”

Award winning mobile app instantly suggests alternate local businesses to callers in case of a busy signal or no answer

Istanbul, Vienna 6th July 2011 – Turkey Yellow Pages and adaffix announce the launch of the award winning and free mobile application adaffix (www.adaffix.com) in Turkey today. The application instantly suggests local alternatives if the user cannot reach a business on the phone. To deliver this information adaffix accesses the most comprehensive Turkish business listing content from Turkey Yellow Pages (http://www.yellow.com.tr), part of the Al Wahda-Express group of companies.

The “AutoSuggest” feature makes it easier for a caller to get in touch with a business. For instance, a user calls the number of a plumber in Ankara but the company is unavailable to take the call. In critical and time-sensitive situations, hitting re-dial shouldn’t be the only option. Within seconds adaffix shows the user additional contact information for the company called as well as details for other plumbers nearby. Another call is initiated by simply pushing a button. The contact details of companies can be added easily to the contacts list on the mobile phone.

The “Caller Lookup” feature identifies the number of an incoming call that is not in the user’s contacts list by matching it with the Yellow.com.tr database.

The adaffix application runs on smartphones supporting the operating systems Symbian S60, Android, BlackBerry RIM or Windows Mobile.

“We like the fact that our business content and brand is now automatically linked with a phone call if the called business does not answer the phone. Partnering with adaffix allows us to introduce an advanced smartphone level of utility to potentially 63 million mobile phone users in Turkey and adds more convenience to every day phone calls. In addition we have a Turkish language version of the adaffix app appropriately called ‘Kim Ariyor?’ meaning ‘Who’s Calling’ in Turkish.” says Trevor Nadeau, Managing Director of Turkey Yellow Pages.

“Adding content to calls in real-time is the most natural and evolutionary element to add to telephony, as it brings the whole experience of phone calling into a new era. We are delighted to partner with Yellow.com.tr in Turkey to provide adaffix users with the most comprehensive Turkish business content”, explains Claudia Poepperl, founder and CEO adaffix.

Vienna - May 31, 2011. The caller lookup company adaffix launches its services in Poland today. adaffix (http://www.adaffix.com) is a free mobile application available for Android, Nokia Symbian and BlackBerry smartphones. The award winning app is a helpful tool for business related calls: the application instantly suggests local alternatives if the user cannot reach a business on the phone. It also automatically displays the name if the calling business is not yet in the user’s contacts list. In order to deliver this information adaffix partners with pkt.pl Polskie Książki Telefoniczne (pkt.pl), thereby accessing the content of pkt.pl’s business databases in Poland.

The adaffix application presents two main functions: AutoSuggest and Caller Lookup.

AutoSuggest facilitates callers to get in touch with a local business. If a user dials the number of a locksmith in Krakow but cannot get through, within seconds adaffix shows additional contact information as well as details for other locksmiths nearby. The user can call the suggested locksmith by simply pushing a button. Additionally, the contact details of the companies suggested by adaffix can be easily added to the contacts list on the mobile phone. This immediacy and simplicity makes this feature efficient and unique.

With the help of Caller Lookup, incoming calls from businesses are identified if the business is not in the user’s contacts list. On one hand when the phone rings, the name of the caller gets displayed, and on the other when the user misses a call, the name of the caller and the time of that call are displayed. With just one push of a button users can easily call back. Name and number can be added to the contacts list by a simple button click.

The adaffix application runs on smartphones supporting the operating systems Android, BlackBerry RIM, Nokia Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile.

“Partnering with adaffix allows us to introduce an advanced call recommendation application for smart phones to pkt.pl users,” added Piotr Strzalkowski, CEO pkt.pl. “The app’s ability to automatically suggest alternate businesses to callers is a unique and time-saving functionality in critical and time-sensitive situations and adds comfort to callers in Poland.”

“We are delighted to add Poland to our international adaffix network and provide Polish smartphone users with more convenience. Based on the synergies between pkt.pl’s high quality business directory and the adaffix app smartphone users in Poland will get a lot more out of a phone when making or receiving calls”, explains Claudia Poepperl, founder and CEO adaffix.

Austrian-based mobile service adaffix adds value to incoming and outgoing smartphone calls

Vienna, 4th April 2011. The free mobile application adaffix (www.adaffix.com) starts its services in the Hungarian market today. adaffix enriches the experience of smartphone calls by adding relevant caller content in real-time. The application instantly suggests local alternatives if the user cannot reach a business on the phone. It also automatically displays the caller’s name if they are not in the user’s contacts list. In order to deliver this information adaffix partners with Magyar Telefonkönyvkiadó Társaság (MTT), thereby accessing white and yellow pages content of Telefonkönyv.

The adaffix application, which is available for smartphones using the operating systems of BlackBerry RIM, Android, Symbian S60 or Windows Mobile, offers two main functions: AutoSuggest and Caller Lookup.

AutoSuggest makes it easier for a caller to get in touch with a (local) business. For instance, a user calls the number of a plumber in Budapest but cannot get through. Within seconds adaffix shows additional contact information as well as details for other plumbers nearby. The suggested plumbers can be called by simply pushing a button. The contact details of the companies can be easily added to the contacts list and the location of the business is shown on a map.

Caller Lookup identifies the number of an incoming call that is not in the user’s contacts list by matching it with the directory database of Telefonkönyv. The name of the caller is displayed as the phone rings. When the user misses a call the name and time of the call are displayed. With one push of a button callback is easy and immediate, as is adding the caller’s name and number to the phone contacts list.

For the user’s comfort, adaffix automatically runs in the background of the smartphone, only displaying content when appropriate. The user never has to act, only react. Additional features include call blocker, contact synchronization and Facebook ID, which displays the photo and realtime status of Facebook friends when they call.

“Telefonkönyv is Hungary’s first choice for finding names and telephone numbers. Offering ADAFFIX to mobile users is a natural extension to our services. We expect that a lot of Hungarian smartphone users will use this new convenient application” says Reinhard Hetzer, Managing Director MTT.

“We are delighted to launch in Hungary and we are happy to be backed by our local partner MTT. The Hungarian market is a matter of the heart for adaffix as it is so close to the headquarters in Vienna. From now on Hungarian smartphone users will have a lot more from a phone when making or receiving calls”, says Claudia Poepperl, founder and CEO adaffix.

Vienna, 22nd of February 2011

adaffix is introducing a new service which empowers mobile network operators to provide their customers with added value while also improving their top line revenues. NameThatNumber enhances the all too common Missed Call Notification SMS, adding the name of the missed caller. If users decide to click on the link within the SMS, they are directed to a dedicated mobile site containing additional information about the person or company who made the call (address, fax number etc). adaffix powers this service with a global network of yellow and white page telephone databases. The very first mobile operator to offer this service to it’s customers is Orange Austria.

NameThatNumber greatly enhances the standard missed call notification SMS: “1 missed call from +43 123456789“ now reads “1 missed call from JOHN DOE +43 123456789. More info about the caller http://….“.

“In our fast paced world, users expect convenience security and time saving. Knowing the caller’s name rather than an alien number makes a significant difference. Our experience shows this type of service leads to significantly higher call return rates” says Claudia Poepperl, CEO adaffix. “Furthermore, we feel NameThatNumber is very exciting from a commercial perspective. Now network operators can monetise on missed call notification traffic by offering NameThatNumber as a subscription included in their tariff structure. A carrier with 5 million subscribers can generate a top line revenue of 125 million Euro within 5 years”

For Orange Austria there were 3 crucial factors in deciding to implement NameThatNumber. “First off the service offers a significant benefit to our customers” says Michael Krammer, CEO of Orange Austria Telecommunication GmbH. “Secondly, it proves to be an additional source of income and finally, NameThatNumber has been easily implemented from a technical viewpoint. The integration has taken less than 4 weeks”.

adaffix is offering NameThatNumber in a carrier grade setup, integrated between the Voice Mail System (VMS) and the Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) of an operator. It can also be used for voicemail alerts, visual voicemail, fax and email. On average, the time for the implementation is no longer than four weeks. adaffix’ worldwide partners of yellow and white page telephone databases include Yellowbook, Yellowpages.ca, DasTelefonbuch, Herold, auskunft.at, Zlatestranky.cz, Zlatestranky.sk, Lokaldelen, De Gule Sider and Telefonkonyv.

adaffix Anruferkennung
