Press release:

Soleo Launches New API Program, Adaffix Becomes First Partner to Leverage Deep Local Data and Vast Pay-per-Call Revenue Streams.

Program allows Adaffix and thousands of Local-Mobile-Social app developers to tap into Soleo’s database, which includes over 1.5 million paid and 15 million organic listings.

Rochester, NY, USA and Vienna, Austria – Mar. 18, 2013 – Soleo (www.soleo.com) which brings high-quality calls to local businesses each year, announced today that it is launching a 2.0 version of its organic and ad-supported application programming interface (API) for local publishers and third-party developers. As a part of this launch, Adaffix (adaffix.com) and Soleo have announced that they have entered into a partnership making Adaffix the flagship partner to Soleo to take advantage of the deep local data provided in the program. With Soleo’s New DME API, developers like Adaffix can build new applications and tools using Soleo’s real-time data, consisting of 15 million local merchants.

“Because we come from the world of Directory Assistance where callers have historically paid for the correct listing, our data is widely more accurate and up-to-date than the vast majority of local data APIs available” said Mike Wilson, Soleo’s Chief Digital Officer. “Additionally, this new API is optimized for pay-per-call advertising, which is by far the winning model in the local digital marketing space today. We’re honored that Adaffix recognized this and became our first API 2.0 partner – taking advantage of its many new features, including reverse number category search,” Wilson said. According to a recent BIA/Kelsey report, telephone calls are the number-one preferred source of leads for local businesses ( BIA/Kelsey, Advisory #12-02, “Call-Based Ads: Eliminating the Unknown From Advertising,” May 2012).

“We handle millions of calls every month through our CIA – Caller Identification App™. Whenever a call to a business goes unanswered our app automatically suggests alternative merchants for the user to call. This patented AutoSuggest technology allows us to drive incremental calls to advertisers. Soleo’s API program is an attractive way to monetize our vast call inventory with pay-per-call advertising,” said Claudia Dreier-Poepperl, CEO and Founder of Adaffix.

Soleo processes and manages billions of calls for the leading major carriers in the US, and dozens globally. Through these partnerships, Soleo is able to research local listings and related content, as well as obtain critical real-time updates. This data is a key component used by Soleo to provide call advertising campaigns to major ad partners, ad networks, lead generation companies, and major national retailers. With the launch of this API, app developers, like Adaffix, and local publishers will be able to leverage Soleo’s vast, accurate, and ad-supported local data to innovate around locality while relying on Soleo’s carrier-grade call platform and Digital Media Exchange™. The DME is a ground-breaking, proprietary engine that matches the most diverse set of local search queries with hundreds of thousands of merchants across the US. “There is enormous demand for up-to-date local information,” Wilson noted. “Local is still the ‘next big thing’ and our API provides developers with an edge in building great apps and monetizing them.”

“Having been in the PayPerCall space since its genesis, I’m excited to see something of this magnitude.” added Ed O’Keefe, Adaffix Strategic Partnerships. “Now advertisers, LeadGens and Agencies can access new scales of quality call volume to fulfill their PayPerCall and CPA budgets, including our valuable global call inventory.”

Soleo handles calls of all varieties – not only key local business categories such as restaurants, physicians, brokers, and contractors. “This is a significant 2.0 enhancement in a series of APIs to be released,” added Wilson. “APIs for things like residential, points-of-interest, and government listings are next on our horizon. Additionally, we will support the Soleo API program in 2013 with hackathons, a commission program, and a developer forum – if you’re a developer around local, 2013 will be an exciting year.”

The API is available at http://www.soleo.com/developer-api. For more information on Soleo’s call advertising programs, data services, and carrier solutions, visit www.
