Operator Service “NameThatNumber” wins EIDQ Award

Customers of Mobile Network Operator Orange are already benefiting from additional information added to missed calls

Vienna, October 24th 2011. NameThatNumber, a service provided by adaffix (www.adaffix.com), won the ‘2011 Innovation Challenge’ of The Association of Directory Information and Related Search Industry (EIDQ) last week in Prague, Czech Republic. The members of the jury were highly impressed by the added benefit adaffix provides: NameThatNumber automatically adds the name and address of the caller to the ‘Missed Call Notification SMS’. NameThatNumber provides network operators with extensive top line revenue opportunities, is easy to implement and works on any phone. Carrier Orange Austria Telecommunication GmbH has been using this solution in Austria with great success since February 2011.

David Stafford, General Secretary EIDQ Association: “Delegates at the recent EIDQ Plenary Meeting in Prague identified NameThatNumber as the winner of the first EIDQ Innovation Challenge. The Challenge took place to find the most innovative new service in the directory industry. EIDQ Members clearly like the fact that adaffix partners up with directory assistance companies to offer automated caller identification. This provides directory firms with an additional revenue opportunity and more visibility in the market.”

“I am really happy about this award. It confirms our belief in the product and shows, that it brings a real benefit to everyone. While customers of mobile network operators receive an additional convenient and easy to use service, mobile carriers themselves are really pleased about an additional revenue-stream.” says Claudia Dreier-Poepperl, CEO of adaffix.

Missed call notification is a standard feature in mobile networks such as Bouygues Telecom, France Telecom, Hutchison Whampoa, KPN, Orascom, SFR, T-Mobile, Telefonica, Turkish Telecom, TeliaSonera, Telekom Austria, Telenor, Telekom Italia, Vimpelcom and Vodafone. It can be enhanced by integrating NameThatNumber between the Voice Mail System (VMS) and the Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) in a mobile network. NameThatNumber comes in a carrier grade setup and on average time to market is no longer than four weeks.

adaffix has previously received awards including the ‘2011 Mobile Messaging Awards Highly Commended’ at the Global Messaging and VAS Congress in London and the ‘GSMA Global Mobile Awards 2010’ given by the GSMA association which represents the interests of operators worldwide.
