The caller ID mobile application for Google’s Android phones wins the Android Developer Contest by T-Mobile

Vienna, September 14th 2009 – ADAFFIX has won the Android Developer Contest which was announced by T-Mobile. The mobile service was elected best application – a mini programme – that was created for the mobile operating system Android by Google. ADAFFIX recognises caller IDs on mobile phones. 200 developers took part in the contest, ADAFFIX convinced the jury.

Technically linked to phone directories and Facebook, the app identifies the caller and shows the name and other information on the screen while the phone is ringing. Internationally currently connected to Facebook data, ADAFFIX is in Austria already connected to all data available on whitepages and yellopages sites like „Auskunft.at“ and „HEROLD.at“. ADAFFIX is planning to expand its service internationally in order to provide mobile phone holders with detailed info on the caller. The first steps have already been taken by connecting phones with Facebook: ADAFFIX users receive Facebook data of their „friends“ when they call and see profile info and the current profile picture while the phone rings.

About 200 entries were reviewed by a top-class jury and despite strong competition ADAFFIX convinced them. „Being identified as the most important Android application by such an important and internationally acting mobile phone network provider like T-Mobile is a great success for a startup company. This award is a certification of the premium quality of the ADAFFIX app“, says Claudia Poepperl, CEO of adaffix, the company behind ADAFFIX.

The free application was built for smartphones and runs on BlackBerry, HTC, LG, Nokia, Motorola, Palm, Samsung and SonyEricsson phones that support one of the following mobile Operating Systems: Android, RIM BlackBerry, Symbian S60 or Windows Mobile.
