Happy Birthday, adaffix! Numerous awards praise the caller recognition app for smartphones
Vienna, April 13th 2010. The caller recognition service adaffix just turned one. The mobile application start-up is looking back at an intense first year being on the market, during which the product was optimized and the company prepared itself for the upcoming internationalization. In 2009 the company launched its very first products with directory publishers, such as Herold.at and auskunft.at in Austria and dastelefonbuch.de in Germany. The addafix Facebook integration helped integrate the caller recognition service into the largest social network worldwide. Making the application available to all smart phone operation systems on the market increased adaffix’ potential user base.
The amount of awards won during the first year, support the app’s status by international experts. So far the most recognized award adaffix has received was the GSMA Global Mobile Award 2010, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this February. The application, which was developed in Austria, was voted as the number one „Best Mobile Internet Service“ by a highclass jury. The jury was put together by some of the leading experts in the mobile communications sector: Sitek (CTO Telenor Nordic), Georges Penalver (Senior Executive Vice president – Strategy & Technology, Orange Group), Dr. Klaus-Jürgen Krath (Senior Vice President Radio Networks, Deutsche Telekom AG), Derek McManus (Chief Technology Officer, 02 UK), Georges Penalver (Senior Executive Vice president – Strategy & Technology, Orange Group), Georges Passet (Chief Technology Officer, Bouygues) and Kris Rinne (Chief Technology Officer, AT&T). The official statement by GSMA about adaffix: „Truly innovative. A breath of fresh air in the mobile browsing space with the clever dynamic linking of social networking to the basic call experience of mobile phones”.
“Hearing such praise from renowned experts makes a startup like ours proud of what we’ve achieved. To give a short resume after our first year: our users are satisfied with the service and our technological advantages are clear. Our next steps is going to roll out the product in new markets”, says Claudia Poepperl, adaffix CEO.
The advantages of using adaffix
