Smartphone app adaffix adds value to incoming and outgoing calls

Vienna – December 13, 2010. The caller lookup company adaffix launches its services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia today. adaffix ( is a free mobile application available for Android, Symbian and BlackBerry smartphones. It enriches the experience of smartphone calls by adding relevant caller content in real-time. adaffix is a helpful tool for both private and business related calls: the application instantly suggests local alternatives if the user cannot reach a business on the phone. It also automatically displays the name if the caller is not in the user’s contacts list. In order to deliver this information adaffix partners with Mediatel, the operator of ZlatéStránky, thereby accessing the content of ZlatéStránky databases; ZlatéStrá in Slovakia and ZlatéStrá in the Czech Republic.

The adaffix application presents two main functions: AutoSuggest and Caller Lookup.

adaffix offers AutoSuggest …
AutoSuggest facilitates callers to get in touch with a (local) business. If a user dials the number of a plumber in Bratislava but cannot get through, within seconds adaffix shows additional contact information as well as details for other plumbers nearby. The user can call the suggested plumbers by simply pushing a button. Additionally, the contact details of the companies suggested by adaffix can be easily added to the contacts list on the mobile phone.

… and Caller Lookup
With the help of Caller Lookup, incoming calls are identified if the caller is not in the user’s contacts list by matching the number against the listings in ZlatéStránky. On one hand when the phone rings, the name of the caller gets displayed, and on the other when the user misses a call, the name and time of that call are displayed. This immediacy and simplicity via one button to call back and to add the caller’s name and number to the phone contacts list is what makes this feature efficient and unique.

adaffix automatically runs in the background of the smartphone, only displaying content when appropriate. The user never has to act, only react.
